Mary Hartel Is Presently the BLM Chief  Cadastral Surveyor for Oregon and Washington State. She is a licensed Land Surveyor in Alaska and Nevada.  Daryl Moistner, A Professional Photographer From the United Kingdom and a freelance contract Land Surveyor, Currently licensed in Nevada. Mary and Daryl have a combined total of 25 years of Alaska Surveying experience and 38 years of total surveying experience. They have worked together as a team and with respective agencies on numerous surveying projects around the american west and eastern europe. They have also travelled extensively around the world to collect stock and travel photos for several agencies. Their most recent trips being an 8000 mile overland odyssey from Nairobi, Kenya to El Jadid, Morocco over a period of 6 months and a 1 month sojourn through Cuba. Following is a summary of four particular alaskan projects which included unique logistical problems that had to be resolved.
